CHASE TWOMEY - MANAGING PARTNER

Chase has spent the last 20 years growing distribution businesses through digital channel enablement. Prior to starting Leland Partners, he was a founder of Zoro.com, an eCommerce broadline distributor of Maintenance Repair & Operations (MRO) products and wholly owned subsidiary of W.W. Grainger. Chase spent nine years at Zoro in various roles, including Chief Marketing Officer and eCommerce leadership positions. He managed eCommerce demand generation across millions of products, driving annual sales from $0 at inception in 2011 to more than $650M by 2020 with 400+ employees.

Chase grew up in his family’s distribution business in Michigan, giving him an in-depth understanding of what it takes to operate a small business. He took a traditional electrical supply, safety, and tool distributor into the ever-evolving eCommerce landscape, accelerating business growth 30% YoY through an eCommerce website, product line expansion, and competitive product pricing and merchandising.

As an entrepreneur and industry leader in the eCommerce distribution space, Chase has built high-performing teams and award-winning cultures critical for long-term success. He enjoys wearing many hats and identifying innovative ways to sell distribution products where and when customers need them, including developing strategic partnerships, automating marketing platforms, rebranding touchpoints, and expanding market channels to increase revenue. 

Chase has a BS in Business from Cornell University and an MBA from Babson College. If you challenge him to Star Wars trivia or coffee drinking, you will lose. He lives in the Chicago area with his wife, two daughters, and a dog named Carl.
